Update

My exhibition held last October at Haslams The Estate Agents in Reading was a huge success. The sale of prints and copies of the book raised nearly £8000 for No5, Young Peoples charity in Reading. No5 do such an amazing job helping young people with mental health issues it was a privilage to help them raise much needed funds. Copies of the book are still available directly from me, as are some of the town scapes including this one of the Castle Street Almshouses. All profits will still be donated to No5.

In 2003 I held an exhibition of my photography at Reading Museum, entitled, Reading People and Places, celebrating the town and people who have an association with it, this raised nearly £4000 for a local special needs school.

I had constantly been asked when I was going to reprise this and in 2023 i was further encouraged by Steve Woodford the owner of Haslams. Estates Agents who agreed to host a re-imagining - 21 years on.

This time it was much smaller but with more empahsis of the towns diversity and the physical changes to the town over the past 21 years.

This time I wanted a doifferent charity to benefit form potential fund raising and I chose No5 a local mental health charity working with young people.

It was a great challenge to shoot, edit and print all the photos, but i managed it, with plenty of help from Haslams and my wonderful subjects, i was fortunate to have the same girl grace the cover of the latest book, 21 years on form her first cover.

This photo is of the Banksy on the outer walls of the old Reading Gaol. (now covered by protective perspex).

So whats next, all i can say is watch this space.
